Barry Sigrist

Barry is a Graduate Sports Therapist with extensive experience in professional sport, including Premier League and International football, and Formula One. Bringing with him a combined movement and hands-on approach to injury, rehabilitation and performance enhancement. Having previously received a BSc (Hons) Sports Science from St Mary’s University, he studied for a BSc (Hons) Sports Therapy and so began his interest in sports injuries, movement and performance enhancement. His education didn’t stop there! He continued with a Post Graduate Diploma in Sports and Remedial Massage from NLSSM, where he became a tutor, and completed an MSc Sports and Exercise Rehabilitation.

 

Barry has previously worked in a successful contemporary medical team at Watford Football Club and was West Ham United’s First Team Sports Therapist. He has International experience working with Fiji RFU, Australia Womens RFU team during the 2010 World Cup and with Jamaica FA. More recently Barry was approached to become a Performance Coach for Hintsa Performance, a Finnish based company leading the way in sports and corporate performance, and wellbeing. This has led Barry to work with Haas Formula One Team and in 2019, Japanese Super Formula with a young British driver.

 

Since 2012 Barry has worked as therapist in multiple films, managing the pain and performance of cast and crew to help them perform to their best. The arm to Barry’s business responsible for this field of work is Production Physiotherapy, where Barry is co-founder and Director.

 

In private practice Barry was previously a Consultant Rehabilitation Specialist at The Centre for Health and Human Performance at 76 Harley Street, a Strength & Conditioning Coach at a BXR London, and consulted at College Football Programs and in Professional Football giving him vast experience with all types of clients, from office workers, gym go-ers and recreational athletes to corporate leaders, high profiles and elite sporting performers.
