What is  Strength & Conditioning?

Strength and conditioning is the process of analysing and addressing physiological, biomechanical and performance characteristics of an individual. Everybody has different goals and each of us is unique physically therefore a personalised, tailored approach is required to achieve what you strive for.

 

Our process is varied depending on your commitments, lifestyle and budget. What is consistent throughout our Strength and Conditioning services is an extensive initial screening and analysis protocol. This ensures we know the variables that make you unique, your goals and sets us upon our path to success. BFitter provide the Strength and Conditioning service of choice for many athletes, recreational to elites, with extensive injury histories, there’s always a way!

 

As things tend to change and the best laid plans are often left obsolete due to unforeseen circumstances, we adapt. Our background in elite sport has prepared us with the flexibility required to change tact and adjust when the environment demands.

Our prescreening process begins before the first appointment.

Our first session involves a battery of tests to learn what you can do and what you find difficult, identify weaknesses within your physical performance and starts to direct our initial approach.

Session two is where the hard work begins. Your screening data has been analysed and now we start to roll out our strategy for addressing where you’re weak, take advantage of your strengths and move you towards your goal.

We continually monitor your progress through sessions and at a predetermined time we may use a session to retest some of our key markers to make sure we are heading in the right direction as a weakness may have become an asset by this point.

The program is not rigid, it evolves as you grow. Goals are achieved and new ones set.

A pre-secreening form with be sent to you and returned to BFitter via email to set the scene.

 

The first session is up to 60 minutes in length and accounts for analysis and planning of your program going forward.

 

There are options around our path from here:

  1. Screening only – You are sent to results of your screening
  2. Program design – We follow up with an appointment to discuss findings, present our suggested program and demonstrate any exercises you require.
  3. One-on-one training – Either a single session or block bookings are available where BFitter will supervise your session. Push you further and make adaptations that may be required to make easy session as specific for your needs as possible.

One off sessions in a pay-as-you-go format where we will decide prior to the session what the session goal is.

 

We design the session, we’re with you during the session, pushing you throughout.

A block of 10 appointments which are to be delivered to you, by BFitter, a minimum of one session per week over a pre arranged period of time.

 

Blocks have an appropriate expiry date and if a session is missed one week it can be made up before the expiry of the block.
