What is Sports Massage?

Sports Massage is the manual mobilisation and manipulation of soft tissue (mainly muscle, tendon and fascia). Sports Massage can be utilised by anyone to help ease the aches and pains of working at a desk or the rigours of intensive training, as part of a rehabilitation plan to help you overcome an injury or to help promote recovery to ensure you’re in optimal condition for performance and competition.

The Sports Massage offered by BFitter is delivered by therapists with the highest level of Sports & Remedial Massage qualification in the UK (Sports Massage Association Level 4) by those able to work at the highest level of elite sport. This ensures that the service you receive is up there with the best available to those who represent their country at International Level.

You will be assessed subjectively and objectively to ensure Sport Massage is the most appropriate intervention for you. This allows our therapist to learn more about your needs and how they will best address those in their time with you.

After identifying your needs and limitations our therapist will deliver what they believe will be the optimal technique selection allowing maximal benefits to you.

Our therapist will give you some homecare advice to ensure that the positive changes they make are long lasting. This could range from breathing exercises, postural or work station advice or more robust exercises to positively address your needs.
